Virtuosic American bluegrass star comes to Royal Albert Hall
Grammy-winning Billy Strings will play his biggest Royal Albert Hall concert to date on October 7 at Royal Albert Hall. He’ll be bringing along songs from his latest critically acclaimed album Highway Prayers.
The American wonderkid, whose lightning-fast acoustic guitar playing brings to mind Lucky Luke’s gunslinging skills, received four glowing stars for his last performance in Denmark, praised for his “dizzying dexterity and miraculous sense of timing.”
Since his debut in 2017 with the album Turmoil & Tinfoil, Billy Strings has breathed new life into the bluegrass genre with his extraordinary virtuosity. That same year, Rolling Stone named him one of their “Top Ten New Country Artists to Know.” Billy Strings is both a proud torchbearer of bluegrass tradition and a bold innovator, blending in influences from psychedelic country, traditional country, classic guitar rock, and heavy metal. His unique talent is undeniable—he has won the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album twice: in 2021 for the studio album Home, and earlier this year for the outstanding live album Live Vol. 1.
